Synthesis of CdS Nanoparticles:
Preparation of Cadmium Solution
Add 2 g of cadmium acetate dihydrate to a beaker containing 40 mL of distilled water.
Stir magnetically until fully dissolved.
Heat to 70°C to ensure complete dissolution.
Preparation of Thiourea Solution
In a separate beaker, dissolve 0.56 g of thiourea in 40 mL of distilled water.
Stir magnetically to obtain a homogeneous solution.
Mixing the Solutions
Slowly add the thiourea solution (Solution 2) into the cadmium acetate solution (Solution 1).
Continue magnetic stirring for 2 hours to allow reaction.
Hydrothermal Treatment
Transfer the mixed solution into a Teflon-lined stainless-steel autoclave.
Heat at 150°C for 6 hours in an oven.
Allow to cool to room temperature before opening.
Purification of CdS Nanoparticles
Wash the CdS nanoparticles multiple times with distilled water or Ethanol (optional).
Centrifuge to remove impurities.
Drying Process
Dry the purified CdS nanoparticles at 80°C overnight in an oven or heater.
